Magenta Band

Magenta, discovered in the late nineteenth century, is described as an extra-spectral color, meaning it cannot be generated by a single wavelength of light, since it is a mixture of red and blue wavelengths. Magenta, the band, shares this quality with the color. Individually, they are as musically diverse as you can get. Rhythm and Blues, multiple Latin styles, Jazz, scorching Rock and straight up screaming Funk and Dance rhythms come roaring off the stage with seamless cohesion. From the first listen, it hits you. "These guys can really play and sing".
This band stands as one of the cornerstones of el-live Productions, and the demand continues to grow for their breathtaking performances. At the helm is American , Asia's first lady of sultry, power-packed soul. The cast is similarly gifted, with Columbia's jewel, Angela Vargas Quisoboni bringing spice and sensuality to the stage with her unique interpretations and powerful voice. The band is simply . well . scary. The talented Gordon Zamor, on keys and back-up vocal, injects an impressive palette of colors to the Magenta sound. Blue Rooney is a formidable force on bass whose playing belies his deep passion for the instrument. Jonathan Ayache takes his unique mastery of musical styles on guitar to new heights nightly. Then there's Sherman Jones, who some claim was "born behind a drum set". His precision, style and unabashed joy for playing music propel Magenta in every performance. Sherman is, indeed, the heartbeat of the group.
You close your eyes, and are transported to a joyful sonic landscape. You can't help but to smile, and join in the dance to the delight that is Magenta.
